Special Education IDEA Workshop on December 2
The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is hosting an Idea Workshop that will focus on special education. Topics such as Student Evaluation, IEP, Parent Rights, and more will be discussed in the workshop. The workshop will be held over zoom and is sponsored by the State Tribal Education Partnership Grant.

Vaccine and Booster Shots Now Available at Health Service Unit
With the growing spread of Covid-19 and the new variants, it's more important than ever that you receive your initial vaccine or booster shot. The Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit has all vaccines and booster shots available for anyone five years of age and older.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is available for the 2021/2022 winter season. LIHEAP is designed to help eligible low-income households supplement part of their winter heating service bills.

Remembering Marjorie Seagraves
Marjorie Dorcas Seagraves, 74, was born on April 18, 1947 in Boston Massachusetts to the late Bertha and Frederick Shaw Hines Sr. Marjorie left this earthly plane on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Norton Women and Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Marjorie graduated from Central High School in 1965, where she excelled in her studies, especially history and mathematics. Those who knew Marjorie, knew she was a trailblazer and worked tirelessly to integrate the cheerleading squad at Central High School. Upon graduation, Marjorie was accepted into the University of Louisville's Speed School. She continued her love of finance by taking accounting classes at Bellarmine University.
Covid Rising in Community
The percent positivity for Barnstable County increased to 3.92 from 3.67 in the last week and from 2.97 at the beginning of November 2021. Community transmission is high, even among those who are fully vaccinated. Therefore, it is important for all of us to continue our due diligence of protecting our community.
WIC is Coming to Health Service Unit in January
Starting Tuesday, January 25, the Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit will have WIC. WIC is a special supplemental nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) that provides foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
