Unemployed or Underemployed?

The recipient of a layoff notice; or, an individual who is employed, but is determined by the Mashpee Education department to be in need of employment and training services to obtain or retain employment for self-sufficiency. Offered to tribal citizens 18 and older.
 
In addition, the 477 Program offers assistance with resume preparation, interviewing skills, and provides use of office equipment.  These services are available to all Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal members, regardless of eligibility.

Tribal members are encouraged to call the office at  508 477.0208 ext. 161 with questions or to set up an appointment.

I am certainly pleased that employers are reaching out to us; however, I know that transportation is one of our biggest barriers to employment.  The Education department is able to offer transportation assistance by providing monthly bus passes to registered 477 clients so they may be able to travel to and from work.
