Community members are invited to gather for Stomp Into the Light, an overnight ceremony centered on healing, remembrance, and being together in community.
Beginning at sunset on Friday, October 9, and continuing through sunrise on Saturday, October 10, traditional stomp dances and songs will carry the gathering through the night. Together, participants will honor and remember loved ones and community members touched by addiction, suicide, abuse, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous People.
The ceremony will be held from 6:11 p.m. to 6:51 a.m. at the Mashpee Wampanoag Government Center, 483 Great Neck Road South in Mashpee.
Everyone is welcome to come share in this medicine and experience the ceremony together. Participants are encouraged to bring rattles, singing voices, and testimonies.
