Last month, Mass Humanities gathered at the New Bedford Whaling Museum to celebrate storytelling and present the very first Massachusetts Storyteller Award to the Tribe. The evening was filled with music and art, with performances from Mwalim Peters ( Mwalim Daphunkee Professor ) and Annawon Weeden. Councilman David Weeden then went on to accept the award on behalf of the Tribe . Thank you to Mass Humanities for hosting and presenting this special honor to our community.
