Native American Thanks Giving 11/22
The annual Native American Thanks Giving will take place on Saturday, November 22nd from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM at the Old Indian Meetinghouse with a pot-luck luncheon to follow at 1:00 PM at the Community and Government Center. This is a public event hosted by the Old Indian Meetinghouse Committee, all are welcome to attend.
Cameron Cash to Run Tarzan Brown Road Race
Cameron Cash, son of Phillip Earl Stanton Cash and Jessica Raposa and grandson of Mashpee Wampanoag Medicine Man Earl Guy Cash Jr. and Marnell Stanton Cash, is set to run the Tarzan Brown Mystic River Run on Sunday, November 2nd in Mystic Connecticut. Cameron comes from both the Mashpee Wampanoag and Narragansett Tribes.

Voters Approve Mashpee-Wakeby Cluster System
After months of debate and after several residents spoke both in favor and against the warrant article, Article 4 passed with a vote of 365 to 93. Article 4 asked voters for the approval to borrow $25,900,000 for the funding to construct a Mashpee-Wakeby wastewater treatment cluster system at 0 Gunters Lane.
Moose Hit on Route 2 in Athol Aids Local Community Resources
Last month the Massachusetts Environmental Police coordinated the salvage of a moose struck on Route 2 in Athol, Massachusetts. Following the initial response by Massachusetts State Police Athol Barracks, Athol Police Department, and MassDOT , arrangements were made for safe recovery and distribution of the animal.

Free Yo Yo Ma Concert Tickets for Tribal Families
On November 21, 2025, Yo-Yo Ma will perform Bach’s complete suites for solo cello at Boston Symphony Hall presented by Celebrity Series. This is more than just a concert: it’s also a coming home, Yo-Yo’s first performance of the complete suites since the Bach Project, which brought this music to 36 communities on six continents and asked people everywhere how culture connects us.

Native Land Conservancy Land Care Day
“Join NLC and our friends from the Charles River Watershed Association for our last land care event of the season at the Wampanoag Common Lands in Kingston. We will be doing some general clean up, removing invasive species, and conducting trail maintenance. NLC will provide tools and supplies and also some light refreshments but you will want to pack a lunch and some insect repellent.”
