Powwow Craft Vendor Applications Open

Mashpee Wampanoag Powwow Committee is opening applications for Mashpee Tribal Member Craft Vendor Stands. Applications and full payment of $250 are due by May 2, 2025. Space is limited so the stands will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Applications can be found on the Tribal Member Portal. You may also request an application by emailing the Committee at Mashpeewampanoagpowwow@gmail.com

Housing Department Annual Performance Report

On an annual basis, the MWT Housing Department must publish the tribes Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) Annual Performance Report (APR) per the recommendation of the Eastern Woodlands Office of Native American Programs (E/WONAP). The IHBG funding is housings main grant that allows the tribe to provide housing assistance to eligible members of federally recognized tribes within our service areas of Barnstable County, Bristol County, Norfolk County, Plymouth County and Essex County.

Weetumuw School Curriculum Survey

The Weetumuw School is collecting data for a grant we are applying to, which will help us reach a sustainable level of funding. Your feedback is vital in shaping the educational experience and ensuring our cultural heritage and values are passed on to future generations.

Mashpee Housing Rehabilitation Program - Applications Open

The Mashpee Housing Rehabilitation Program (MHRP or Program) provides 15-year, 0% interest, Declining Balance, Deferred Payment Loans (DPLs) for general rehabilitation and grants (up to $25,000 per unit) for lead paint reduction to owners of residential, one to four-unit properties in the Town of Mashpee. Properties must have at least one code violation to qualify for assistance. The program is funded through a Massachusetts Community Development Block Grant (MCDBG) from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing & Livable Communities (EOHLC).

April Vacation Game Night

The Youth Advisory Committee is hosting an April Vacation Youth Game Night from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, April 25th at the Community and Government Center. There will be games and activities for all ages from toddlers to teens. A parent/guardian MUST be in attendance with their child. Food will be provided. All tribal families are welcome to attend!

Honor the Earth Fair

Join us for an Earth Day celebration at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe government center featuring exhibitors and vendors with a shared mission to protect and preserve the ancestral homelands of the Wampanoag. Free and open to the public, the Honor the Earth Fair is co-hosted by the Native Land Conservancy and the Mashpee Wampanoag Natural Resources Department, festivities will include opening remarks by Mashpee Wampanoag Chief Earl Mills Jr., cultural crafts, traditional singing and dancing, activities for children.

Join the TAPUA Project: Call for Tribal Participants

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Historic Preservation Department (THPD) invites enrolled Tribal members to participate in an exciting training opportunity to assist the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Archives (MWTA) in archival research and collections care, developing a digital access platform and reviewing materials. This initiative, part of the Tribal Archives Preservation and University Access (TAPUA) project, will enhance access to primary source materials from Harvard and the MWTA collections.
