Last month, Tribal member Diontae Tobey was offered and has accepted a position to serve as a Police Officer for the Mashpee Wampanoag Police Department. Diontae is a proud young father of a 3y.o Diontae Tobey Jr, he is the grandson of Everett Tobey Sr. and the youngest child of The Unhoused Case Worker Rochelle Tobey.

Diontae Tobey has been working for Tribal Security for 1 year, and he will soon be dedicating time to completing Police Academy training in Mexico. Dionate’s ultimate goal is to return to our people trained and prepared to protect, and serve as a MWT Police officer.

At only 22 years old, Diontae continues to serve as a positive role model for his son Diontae Tobey Jr, and to his peers, that hard work and perseverance through hardship leads to success both personally and professionally.
