The Mashpee Wampanoag Housing Commission is seeking Tribal citizens who want to help strengthen housing opportunities for the community.

Commissioners oversee important initiatives, including rental and mortgage assistance programs and the First Light Housing Development. A small group of dedicated commissioners has continued this work, but additional members are needed to help the Commission consistently meet quorum and take timely action.

Serving on the Commission is a meaningful way to support safe, stable housing and help Tribal families remain in their ancestral homelands.

Experience in real estate, mortgages, construction, or government assistance programs can be helpful, but it is not required. The most important qualifications are a commitment to the community and an interest in supporting Tribal housing.

The Commission generally meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Members may attend in person at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Government Center or remotely by Zoom.

Interested Tribal citizens should submit a letter of interest to Talia Landry, Secretary of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council.
