The Wôpanâak Language Reclamation Project invites community members of all ages to take part in the 2026 Immersion Camp, taking place October 10-12 at the Wampanoag Common Lands, located at 266 Bishops Highway in Kingston.
This community-centered weekend will focus on Wôpanâak language, culture, connection, and camping. Participants will have the opportunity to challenge themselves to learn Wôpanâak in a fun, supportive, and welcoming immersion setting.
No speaking experience is necessary, and camping is not mandatory. All ages are welcome to participate.
The Immersion Camp is presented with support from the Wôpanâak Language Reclamation Project and Wampanoag community partners, including Aquinnah, Assonet, Mashpee, and Herring Pond.
