Funding for Education Needs Available

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Education Department recently received local financial support to help meet the educational and enrichment needs of Native students in grades K–12. The Tribe gratefully acknowledges the Ernest Michael Helides and Evelyn Ponticos Helides Education Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation for their generous support.

This funding will help offset costs for approved educational and youth enrichment activities, including:

  • After-school tutoring services

  • Driver’s education

  • Sports and extracurricular activities

  • School trips (such as annual 8th grade trips to D.C.)

These resources are intended to support academic success, personal development, and overall wellbeing for Native students and families.

Parents and guardians interested in accessing these funds should contact the Education Department before engaging any services, as approval is required and funds are limited.
