All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation

The All Our Relations art exhibit features the work of more than 20 artists from the Mashpee and Aquinnah Wampanoag tribes, and the Herring Pond and Chappaquiddick bands of Wampanoag. It is the first of its kind show where so many Wampanoag artists from generation Z to tribal Elders will display multiple artistic disciplines portraying styles from traditional to contemporary will be all under one roof.  This exhibition is co-curated by Mashpee Wampanoag Paula Peters and Michelle St. John, a member of the Board of Directors of CCftA with appreciation to the ancestors.

For the opening of the exhibit Mashpee Wampanoag, actor and storyteller Annawon Weeden put on a one-man-performance entitled the “First Light Flashback” where he portrayed the dramatic evolution of a Wampanoag man from pre-colonial times through present day.
