The Old Indian Meeting House (OIMH), also known as the Old Indian Church, stands at 410 Meetinghouse Road in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Constructed in 1684, the building holds historical significance as the oldest Christian meeting house on Cape Cod and the nation's oldest surviving Indian church. The National Register Listed Property has long served the tribe as congregational meeting place and one of the last remaining "Praying Indians" meetinghouse; this structure remains a testament to the tribe's enduring commitment to preserving our cultural identity. The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is now seeking qualified professionals to undertake the restoration project, specifically to "Strip and Paint" the Old Indian Meeting House. Request for Quotes: Old Indian Meeting House Restoration

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe invites qualified professionals to submit quotes for the restoration of the exterior finish of our Old Indian Meeting House. The project involves stripping and painting the historic structure located at 410 Meetinghouse Rd., Mashpee, MA 02649.

Scope of Work:

- Strip the existing paint from the exterior surfaces.

- Apply fresh paint to protect and enhance the building's appearance.

- Detailed scope of work available upon request via telephone or email.

- Date: May 10th, 2024

Application Process:

- Submit bids in a sealed envelope clearly marked with "OIMH Quote".

- Include name, address, and bid amount.

- Bids must be received by 4:30 PM on Monday, May 27th, 2024.

- Delivery options: In-person drop-off or certified mail (mail date no later than Friday, May 24th, 2024).

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe reserves the right to reject any unqualified or unreasonable bids.

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe’s Procurement Policy and Procedures applies; this process is adheres to Section 2 C § (1) Restricted Solicitations; and is in accordance with 24 CFR 1000.52 (a)(2), the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Housing Department may provide Indian preference in procurement activities by advertising for bids or proposals from only qualified Indian organizations and Indian owned-enterprises. Or, in accordance with 24 CFR 1000.52 (a); and follows § (3) Purchase Order: $25,000 up to $250,000.
