Expectant Native and Indigenous families are invited to attend a supportive, interactive Childbirth Education Class on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Native Land Conservancy, located at 2B Center Street in Mashpee.
The class is designed to help expectant parents feel confident and prepared for labor, birth, and early parenthood. Topics will include pregnancy, stages of labor, breastfeeding, pain management options, birth planning, cultural practices, and postpartum and newborn care.
Food and refreshments will be provided, and participants will receive a participation gift.
The class is offered in partnership with the Mashpee Wampanoag community and the Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod, with support from the CAPE Public Health Collaborative at the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment.
