On Saturday, September 22 all Wampanoag people, including the Mashpee, Aquinnah and Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribes will come together with friends from the community at the 19th Annual Wampanoag Day Celebration at the Aptucxet Trading Post Museum in Bourne. The event will kick off at 11 AM and is open to the public.
The legendary Wampanoag Singers and Dancers will once again perform along with other Native American hands on activities, crafts, demonstrations and of course drumming. Lunch will also be available for purchase that will include several native dishes as well as hot dogs and hamburgers with chips, water and soda.
The admission fee is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for children and $10.00 for a family.
