Calling all runners, The Natural Resource Department has 12 registrations available on a first come first served basis for the 2023 Falmouth Road Race. Numbers for the annual race are hard to come by and a treat for runners of all abilities.
If you would like to participate in this year’s race and join a team of Native runners, please contact Natural Resources Director Jason Steiding @ Jason.steiding@mwtribe-nsn.gov to receive instructions on how to unlock a race number. There are 12 registrations available and all runners will need to be registered by Monday, June 26th.
The 51st running of The Falmouth Road Race will be held on Sunday, August 20th 2023. The Falmouth Road Race was established in 1973 and has become one of the premier running events of the summer season. Each year the race draws an international field of Olympians, elite and recreational runners out to enjoy the iconic 7-mile seaside course.
Race organizers recognize and respect the Mashpee Wampanoag’s unique status as the original inhabitants of the land that this race is run on, and would like to provide Tribal members with the opportunity to purchase registration numbers typically only available to Falmouth residents or through a lottery system.
