On February 25 staff from Senator Elizabeth Warren met with various tribal leaders and departments at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Community and Government Center. The staff were interested in gaining a better understanding of the many programs that are run from the Government and Community Center, including health services and the Tribe’s language immersion school.

Chairman Cromwell who spent part of the morning meeting with Senator Warren’s staff was encouraged by the visit. “These meetings can be extremely productive. We want the legislators and their team to see how we are making good use of the support we receive from the federal government and for them to understand why key initiatives, like HR 312, need to be passed,”  said Chairman Cromwell.
