The Wampanoag Senior Travel Club is sponsoring a Penny Sale on Saturday, March 17 at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Community and Government Center. Doors for the Penny Sale open at 11:00 a.m. with games starting at 1:00 p.m. The event is open to the public and all are welcome.
The Wampanoag Senior Travel Club is accepting item and food donations. Donations will be accepted until the day of the event. There will also be a concession stand with hotdogs, burgers, and drinks.
At the Penny Sale you will be able to purchase “penny tickets,” which cost one cent for each ticket and are sold in sheets of 25. You then use the tickets to try and win any or all of the donated items that will be laid out on tables with a brown bag in front of the item. Then, starting at 5:30 p.m., winning tickets will be pulled from each bag. If it’s your ticket that is pulled from the bag, then you win the item. You or someone with your ticket must be present to win the item.
Come, have fun, and put tickets in everything to make the event even more fun. The more tickets you put in a bag the better your chances of winning that item. There will be door prizes and raffles.
