Sacred Parenting Classes Offered for Community Members

Community members are invited to take part in Sacred Parenting, a certified parenting class recognized by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Sacred Parenting program welcomes parents, future parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents, and all community members who care for and help nurture the children in our community. The program focuses on strengthening families, supporting healing, honoring cultural teachings, and building healthy relationships for future generations.

Classes are held on Zoom on Monday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The program includes eight meetings per session, with fall, winter, and spring dates available. Participants will receive a Sacred Parent Kit and can earn $40 for each meeting attended.

The classes are led by Maria Turner, ICWA AnnMarie Askew, Elder, and Jacqueline Vorpahl, PhD.
