Service for Everett Peters to be Held on January 8

Everett Peters, of Hyannis, passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on December 27, 2021, after a long battle with diabetes and renal failure. He was the beloved husband of the late Rebecca (Hoaglund) Peters.

Everett was born in Hyannis, MA on January 2, 1947. He was the youngest child of Frederick and Frances (Bearse) Peters. Everett served in the Army and upon his return home, he was employed by the Town of Barnstable for many years until his retirement. Everett was a proud member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. He will be missed by his family and his many friends.

Everett is survived by his brother Putnam; his "Sister" Pauline; his three children, Nicole, Adam, and Ron, and their spouses; as well as 8 grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews remember "Uncle Ev", fondly recalling numerous trips to many local swimming holes in the summer. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Carl and Ray, and his beloved wife, Becky.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:00 am at Mashpee Baptist Church, 27 Great Neck Rd. North, Mashpee. Interment will immediately follow at the Old Indian Cemetery, in Mashpee. For online guestbook and directions please visit www.chapmanfuneral.com.
