Impacts:
There has been an increase of 23,797 positive cases in MA and an increase of 457 confirmed & probable deaths in MA and an increase of 464 positive cases in Barnstable County and an increase 3 positive cases at IHS over the past 7 days. On 1/28/2021 Mass. DPH reported 120 new cases for Barnstable County. Hospitalizations and Fatalities: 3-day avg.hospitalizations have fallen to the upper 40's/low 50's, yet relatively high patient counts in the ICUs (16 patients) remain. Fatalities remain elevated but are in-line with rates seen during Wave 1 last spring.
Let’s all continue to do our part to keep all members of our tribal community safe, wear your masks, continuously wash your hands, avoid crowds and practice physical distancing. We have continued to see an increase in positive cases in our Tribal Community.
Our Response:
MWT Community and Government Center Phase 2A, limited essential/EOC activated

Other Actions and Progress:
New temporary testing for MWT personnel will take place next week/CC Health care
Submitted PPE resource request to FEMA Region 1
Continued PPE/Food support to Tribe members in quarantine/isolation
Provided additional quarantine and isolation motel sheltering
IHS planning to conduct larger scale vaccination next week.
MWT EM provided HVAC generator to IHS for testing tent support

People over the age of 65 and people who have underlying health conditions – should continue to stay home except for essentials
