Invitation to Bid: New Shellfish Processing Center

The (Owner) Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, a federally-recognized Indian tribe, will be accepting Bids from Qualified General Contractors for the Construction of and addition and expansion to the existing Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point – Fish and Shellfish Processing Center (“HACCP”).

A.   SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS & DOCUMENTATION 

a.     Three Professional References including name, address, phone number, years known;

b.     Proof of insurance, registration and current inspection for all vehicles and/or equipment to be used;

c.     Proof of licensure for all drivers and operators;

d.     Certification of Insurance;

e.     General Contractor must be familiar with procedures required for the purchase of material and equipment for tax exempt entities and all applicable TERO Procedures;

f.      Completed TERO Fee Application.

B.   SITE CONSTRUCTION/SCOPE OF WORK

1.     Light and heavy construction equipment required with fully licensed drivers and operators;

2.     Compliance with all applicable Tribal Laws, including Tribal Building Code, Prevailing Wage Rates and TERO required;

3.     Equipment Hourly Rates – No 4 Hour Minimums;

4.     EQUIPMENT LISTINGS BELOW MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL:

D.   BID DEADLINE & INSTRUCTIONS

a.     Bid Deadline is April 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. EDT and must be in accordance with these instructions and Invitation to Bid;

b.     All bids must be sealed and hand-delivered only to Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Vice Chairman, Carlton Hendricks, at 483 Great Neck Road South, Mashpee, MA 02649;

c.     Bids that do not follow these requirements will be unopened and discarded;

d.     Construction Date is expected to start on May 2, 2022;

e.     Substantial Competition is to be determined;

f.      The bid will be for: Stipulated Sum for completion of work called for in specifications including allowances and described herin.
