Duration: 10 weeks for 35 hours/week; begin late May or early June and conclude August 2022 Compensation: $5,000 plus travel/technology stipend ($500) and completion award ($500).

The Rewilding Internship is hosted by Northeast Wilderness Trust with support from Native Land Conservancy, a Native-run land conservation group with a mission to preserve healthy landscapes for all living things, and help restore land back to its original state wherever possible.

The Rewilding Intern will complete a Capstone Project with additional weekly tasks and professional development opportunities. The Intern will be based at Muddy Pond Wilderness Preserve, 322 acres of pine barrens forest and coastal plain pond in Kingston, MA, with some remote work and travel. This internship is open to any enrolled Wampanoag members, and is best suited for those between the ages of 17-25.

Over 10 weeks, the Intern will gain training in land stewardship work along with real-world experience through the Capstone Project. The Intern will learn technical skills and develop a foundational understanding of land conservation, wilderness values, and local natural history.

To Apply: Fill out the application form at www.newildernesstrust.org/rewildingintern by March 31, 2022. Interviews will occur during the first two weeks of April.
