MWCDC Solar Survey

As the Mashpee Wampanoag Community Development Board continues to meet and negotiate with two solar energy proponents on the solar panel projects at the community and government center and Maushop farm, we are looking for a bit of feedback from the community. Please participate in this brief survey so we can take any questions, concerns, and opinions into our negotiation meetings. Again, for those who are unaware of the work done into the possibilities of solar on tribal properties.

Hired Self Reliance for pre-development services for solar energy
Developed RFQ’s for potential sites at Maushop Farm, Housing Project, & Gov’t Center

2020
Released RFQ for all 3 project sites
Conducted walk through with solar proponents.
Received RFP’s from proponents on (Maushop Farm and Government Center Sites)
Letter of Intent sent to 2 proponents

For the past year we have been discussing the possibilities of joint ventures, leasing agreements, and or fees with the two proponents. Next step is to filter the agreement that will be set forth to tribal council in order to decide whether to pursue or not.
