Tribe Presented with the Massachusetts Storyteller Award

Mass Humanities is proud to announce that our inaugural Massachusetts Storyteller Award will be presented to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, represented by David Weeden, for its ongoing work to weave together storytelling and the urgency of climate action. The award honors an outstanding individual or group that is using the humanities and the power of the narrative to tackle the commonwealth’s most pressing challenges.

The Tribe will be honored at the New Bedford Whaling Museum on Wednesday, June 11, with a reception beginning at 5:00pm. The event is free but RSVPs are requested. More information is available at masshumanities.org.
