The second annual Honor the Earth Fair, hosted by the Native Land Conservancy and the Natural Resources Department, honored mother earth through exhibitors and vendors who share the mission to protect and preserve our ancestral homelands.
There was something for everyone as each table had exhibits and information to take away about different ways to protect the environment around us.
The event concluded with the Taste of Earth Cooking Contest, where participants present original dishes made exclusively from plant-based foods. This year, Kymie Frye received the highest amount of votes and took home the first place prize; a clay pot made by Ramona Peters.
Thank you to the NLC, NRD, Neesh La Singers and Dancers and all of the volunteers, participants and tribal partners who made this event possible!
