At the beginning of this year, Tribal Communications services were cut back as a cost-saving measure to help financially support other areas of Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal operations. This led to the removal of the printed Mittark for the time being and limited coverage for community events hosted by the Tribe. Despite these setbacks, tribal communications continue in the form of the weekly e-blast, website, Facebook, and online Mittark.

Due to these cutbacks, it has become increasingly difficult to share all of the important stories happening in our community. The communications team has always welcomed community input on the information shared, and that input is now more helpful than ever.

Community members can submit information/ stories for the “Our Circle” section of the Mittark, special mentions, and upcoming community events to help keep everyone informed and engaged about what is happening in our Tribe.
