The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Historic Preservation Department (THPD) is inviting enrolled Tribal members to participate in an exciting collaborative effort to review and assess researched Harvard materials and digital collections relative to our history and community. In partnership with Harvard Library Services, our Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Archives (MWTA) is seeking Tribal Scholars to support the evaluation and integration of important collection materials identified through the Harvard-funded Tribal Archives Preservation and University Access (TAPUA) project.
The MWT Harvard Legacy of Slavery grant program has provided financial and technical support for this initiative which will significantly strengthen our own Tribal archive holdings. Interested Tribal citizens are encouraged to contact the THPD at 508.477.0208 x102 or email THPD@mwtribe-nsn.gov for more information.
