TERO (Tribal Employment Rights Opportunity) will be sponsoring a TERO Recruitment Event for new members and members who need to update their information. Recruitment will occur on Monday, March 11th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Tuesday, March 12th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The Mashpee Wampanoag TERO maintains a “list for hire” of Tribal members and Tribal businesses looking for work. When the Tribe is looking to hire, TERO checks this list to see who meets the needs and recommends TERO clients for hire.
Although TERO is intended to be a temporary job placement program, Tribal members have been able to secure more long-term employment with some of the contractors. TERO works heavily with construction contractors to provide the contractors with labor needs, but TERO is also looking to expand out to cover employment opportunities in various fields, including office work, kitchen help, professional needs, etc.
Although TERO is expanding out into other fields, it will continue its constant recruitment in the construction field.
