COURT CLERK

SUMMARY :This position is a full-time position funded by the BIA. The Court Clerk is responsible for preparation, maintenance and closing of all case Dockets. Duties are implementation of court automation, accounting, maintaining all public information systems. To be knowledgeable of Policies, Processes, Ordinances and Administrative Orders.  The Court Clerk will maintain a compilation of financial and statistical reports and maintain the Law Library.

Summary: The purpose of the Director of the Wôpanâak Language Reclamation Project, Incorporated (WLRP) position is to support and facilitate the primary mission of WLRP to reclaim the Wôpanâak Language as a principal means of expression for the four communities of the Wampanoag Nation through complete and effective oversight of WLRP and its programs. The Director is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and programs and will be empowered with making all internal operational decisions regarding staff in consultation with other appropriate staff, and consulting with the Board of Directors. While this position reports directly to the Board of Directors, any major decisions such as annual curriculum changes, language transmission outside of the four participating communities, budget changes, new position creation, new contracts, must be approved of by the language committee per the WLRP By-Laws and as such must be passed from Director to Board for presentation at a monthly WLRP meeting. 

 

FOOD DISTRIBUTION SERVICE COORDINATOR

Summary: Under the direction of the Food Distribution Service Manager, the Food Pantry Coordinator oversees the operations of the food pantry, including but not limited to coordination of food pantry staff and volunteers, purchasing and restocking of food pantry items, tracking clients for reporting purposes, coordination of food delivery program, monthly statistics and reports as required.

 

FARM WORKER

SUMMARY:The Farm Worker will develop and manage all aspects of the Farm production fields including growing organic vegetables, fruits and herbs; identifying and selling in local markets and on-site; managing farm interns and working with volunteers; and speaking to public groups that frequent the farm for educational days. This position requires physical endurance and strength, practical knowledge of agricultural skills and farm management, and a passionate commitment to providing specific foods for improved public health. The worker has primary responsibility for the planning, coordination and implementation of all work and activities at Farm and will take directions from the Farm Manager.  The farm is a laboratory in the field focused on growing foods with the strongest disease prevention properties, conducting research to support this, improving community health, teaching communities how to grow these foods and making them widely available so individuals can learn how to incorporate them into their daily lives.

 

SHELTER PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Summary: The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is seeking a professional Shelter Program Assistant to perform varied administrative duties while applying judgment and in-depth knowledge of a homeless shelter and policies/procedures. Work with the Shelter Manager to address the needs of the residents. Anticipates needs of homeless clients, demonstrate initiative, and add value to the daily activities. Take initiative to make changes in the workflow and implement programs as needed. Confidentiality of data requires extreme sensitivity and all disclosures require discretion.

 

NATURAL RESOURCE FELLOW

Salary Range: $40,040/year – ($22/hr.)
Length of Opening:  One (1) Year With The Potential For Continuation Based On Performance

Summary: Under general supervision of the Director for the Natural Resources Department (NRD); the Natural Resource Fellow will oversee the development and implementation of the plan to address water quality and fisheries monitoring and management within the community.  The Natural Resource Fellow will also work closely with other Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Departments including but not limited to the Emergency Management and Historic Preservation Departments.

 

CULTURAL RESOURCE MONITORS

Job Title:  Cultural Resource Monitors
Department: Tribal Historic Preservation
Status: Full Time (Non-Exempt)
Hours: Mon-Fri (hours may vary)
Salary: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

 Summary:  Cultural Resource Monitor (CRM0) will assist the department with processing Notice Of Intent (NOI) letters and by reviewing project materials to support departmental findings and determinations that inform comment letter replies; attend archaeological field school trainings and on reservation studies, complete cultural resource training, provide on-site field monitoring of projects as required, provide daily reports to THPO relative to project assignments. During off seasons additional responsibilities may be assigned as required to support department goals and initiatives.
