Mashpee Farmers Market Welcomes Tribal Vendors

The Mashpee Farmers Market runs every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Village Green at Mashpee Commons through October 11, and Tribal members are welcome to take part.

The Mashpee Chamber of Commerce has shared that Tribal members may table at the market at no cost to share local food, goods, art, and creations with the broader Mashpee community.

The annual Ancestors Day celebration will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Old Indian Meeting House.

Ancestors Day is a time for Tribal Citizens and their families to spend time with the ancestors and formally remember, celebrate, and honor family members and friends who have passed on to the spirit world.

Community Invited to Annual Native American ...

The Old Indian Meetinghouse Committee invites the community to the annual Native American Thanks Giving on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Old Indian Meeting House.

The gathering will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A potluck luncheon will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Mashpee Wampanoag Community and Government Center.

This is a public event, and all are welcome to attend and share in this community gathering.

First Light Tribal Housing Residents Invited to ...

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Housing Commission is inviting residents of First Light Tribal Housing to participate in a Tenants Forum on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

The forum will give residents an opportunity to share their thoughts, experiences, and ideas directly with the Housing Commission. The conversation will help inform the Commission’s considerations and planning moving forward.

The forum will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Native Land Conservancy, 2B Center Street, Mashpee.

Johnson O’Malley Student Applications Requested from Tribal Families

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Education Department is asking all eligible Tribal families with school-age children to complete a Johnson O’Malley Student Application for each child.

The Johnson O’Malley Program helps support educational programs and services for Tribal youth. Information collected through the application process helps the Education Department plan for and pursue funding that can support educational enrichment, cultural programming, academic support, and other opportunities that benefit our students.

Sacred Parenting Fall Session Begins September 14

Community members are invited to register for the fall session of Sacred Parenting, a certified parenting class recognized by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Sacred Parenting welcomes all community members who care for the children in our community, including parents, future parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents, and relatives helping to nurture children in Tribal and urban communities.

Wôpanâak Language Reclamation Project to Host Immersion Camp

The Wôpanâak Language Reclamation Project invites community members of all ages to take part in the 2026 Immersion Camp, taking place October 10-12 at the Wampanoag Common Lands, located at 266 Bishops Highway in Kingston.

This community-centered weekend will focus on Wôpanâak language, culture, connection, and camping. Participants will have the opportunity to challenge themselves to learn Wôpanâak in a fun, supportive, and welcoming immersion setting.

Senator Fernandes to Hold Cape Bridges Forum in Mashpee

Community members are invited to join Senator Fernandes and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation team for a public forum focused on the Cape Bridges program.

The forum will provide an opportunity to hear the latest program updates directly from Senator Fernandes and MassDOT. Attendees will also be able to ask questions about the project and its progress.

The forum is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Mashpee Town Hall in the Waquoit Meeting Room, 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee.
