Getting a flu shot this year is going to be more important than previous years and the Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit, located behind the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Community and Government Center, will be providing flu shots at no cost this fall.
This may seem like it’s early to start thinking about a flu shot. However, some schools are requiring all students returning to receive a flu shot and public health officials are concerned about the stress Covid-19 combined with influenza could cause on the hospitals. This combination makes it important to receive a flu shot as soon as possible.
Additional details about the shot will be coming out soon. Please make sure to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect yourself and your community.
