Under the 477 Rise Together Program, federal funding from approved departments is received and amalgamated, channeling the myriad federal program funds into a singular, comprehensive 477 Fund and plan.

At the Tribe’s Special Election on July 11, Domingo "Mingo" Tiexeira and Nelson Andrews, Jr. were elected to council. Tiexeira and Andrews will fill the seats that were vacated when Brian Weeden and Carlton Hendricks were elected to Chair and Vice Chair earlier this year. 276 tribal members cast a ballot in the election.

Mashpee-Wakeby Pond and Santuit Pond have been closed to swimming due to the presence of a cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) bloom. The swimming and access areas are posted with the cyanobacteria advisories and "No Swimming" signs.

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe have joined a long list of organizations that have opposed the construction of the gun range on Joint Base Cape Cod. The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council voted to officially oppose the gun range at a tribal council meeting on June 9.
