Thousands came to our 101st Annual Powwow. While the event was held outdoors, the spread of covid remains likely with any event that is well attended. It is recommended that tribal members take one of the rapid, at-home tests or visit the Health Service Unit to be tested. Covid-19 is continuing to spread in the community, and testing is the best way to minimize the spread.
Test kits are available at the front desk of the Tribe's Community and Government Center and the Health Service Unit.
In addition, vaccines for all children over six months of age are now available at the Mashpee Wampanoag Service Unit. Please call (508) 477-6967 to schedule an appointment or walk-in for a vaccine. The CDC recommends everyone ages six months and older gets vaccinated for COVID-19, and every one five years and older should also get a COVID-19 booster, if eligible.
