Regarding Chairman Brian Weeden’s alleged involvement in the Plimoth Patuxet Museum incident, the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council regards this as personal matter to be resolved by the courts. For that reason, the Tribal Council will have no further comment on the matter.
These circumstances do not change, nor will it alter our focus on important issues. We have an urgent agenda that includes launching our Men’s Sober House, our homeless facility, our election in February and we are navigating the expansion of an economic agenda that puts our people to work.
We are struggling to live better, longer, and provide for our families. The Council remains committed to its responsibility to serve our people. Now more than ever, it is critical that we stay on that path.
