Honor the Earth Fair

The Native Land Conservancy and Natural Resources Department will be hosting an Earth Day Celebration at the Community and Government Center on Saturday, April 20th from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The event will feature exhibitors and vendors with a shared mission to protect and preserve the ancestral homelands of the Wampanoag. Activities will include opening remarks by Chief Earl Mills Jr., cultural crafts, traditional singing and dancing, and activities for children. This “Honor the Earth Fair” is fee and open to the public.

The Taste of the Earth cooking contest will also be held during the day featuring Elspeth Hay of the WCAI Local Food Report. Taste of the Earth invites cooks of every skill level to compete for a hand-crafted pot by tribal Elder Ramona Peters.
