On Saturday, June 18 the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Education Department will host the inaugural Strawberry Thanksgiving. Events will kick off at 10:00 AM with Mush8n races at Mashpee Pond with a Strawberry Thanksgiving feast from noon – 4:00 PM at the Powwow Grounds.

Join the tribal community as we say kutâputunumuw wuchee Wutuhumuneash (Thank you for the strawberries). Celebrate the season’s first fruit and show our appreciation to the earth and all that she gives us. Bring the family for a fun filled day of traditional cooking demonstrations, activities – including football and double ball games - , singing and dancing, browse Wampanoag craft vendors and indulge in a dish of strawberry shortcake, wamp style! All Tribal families welcome.
