The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is seeking to hire a communications coordinator. The position is one that requires an energetic, forward-thinking individual to support the internal communications and marketing of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Education Department initiatives. The individual assuming this role represents the Education Department in its work with Native parents, the tribal community, and private and governmental entities.
The Communications Coordinator works directly under the supervision of the Education Director, primarily in the achievement of the STEP grant goals and objectives. The Coordinator will be available to other department managers and coordinators as a communications consultant.
This is a full-time position at $27 per hour. Based on an estimated 1,820 hours, the position will pay a total of $49,140 per year plus fringe benefits such as health insurance, vacation and sick leave.
Position is funded through a Competitive Grant from the U.S. Department of Education/Office of Indian Education for a remaining 2.5 years; dependent upon successful implementation and annual reporting.
