Home Rehabilitation guidelines
1. Applicants must be a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe or a member of another Federally Recognized Tribe residing in the service area of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, which includes the following five (5) Massachusetts counties: Barnstable, Bristol, Plymouth, Norfolk, and Suffolk.
2. Be the owner of the residence and
3. Meet all income and eligibility requirements of HUD and the Mashpee Wampanoag Housing Department. The family income cannot exceed 80 percent of the median income for the County.
4. If you have previously received Rehab services, you are not eligible for additional rehab services.
5. The subject property must be the Applicant’s primary residence.
6. The subject property must have a clear title, i.e. no liens or encumbrances.
7. The applicant must be current with the mortgage, homeowners insurance, and property taxes.
8. Housing built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. If you have children six years or younger, work cannot be performed until the structure is tested by a licensed lead inspector.
