It’s not easy when you’re a basketball player and almost always the smallest one on the court. That’s something that Mashpee High School’s Amiyah Peters—a 7th grader on the varsity team—has to deal with just about every time she suits up for the Lady Falcons. It hasn’t seemed to bother her very much. The guard has established herself as a scoring threat for the Lady Falcons despite her small stature and has not shied away from the land of giants, driving the lane with regularity. Peters has begun to become a steady force for the team and has averaged in double figures over the last several games, leading the team in points against Abington on Tuesday night, January 23, after netting 13 the night before in a win over Randolph.
