PROJECT MANAGER

Summary: The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Housing Department is seeking a temporary Project Manager. The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe owns 10 vacant lots at our Mashpee Wampanoag First Light Homes. We plan to utilize these lots as supportive housing for our homeless population. The Project Manager will be responsible for the development, design and construction plans to be able to move to the construction phase.
The Housing Department received a two-year grant to hire a Project Manager to oversee Phase 2 of the housing project, including identifying and hiring an architect and engineer. The architect will design, plan, and develop concepts to create construction plans and technical documents for the ten vacant lots at Mashpee Wampanoag First Light Homes. The engineer will support the architect with plans and infrastructure to maximize the amount of affordable units per house lot. The resulting design/construction plans are vital for the construction and ultimately implementation phase of our project.

Summary: The professional Transportation Driver operates tribal vehicles transporting tribal members to and from scheduled medical appointments or other activities, such as tribal meetings. Driver performs the responsible safe operations of a handicap accessible, Ford Econ-line 450, 13 passenger van. The professional Transportation Driver conducts this service in compliance with all applicable MWT/MA DOT regulations, and avoiding damage to equipment or passengers, with respect for his/her own personal safety and the safety of others on the road. He/she ensures (tribal citizens) customer service commitments and Tribal administration service targets are achieved, and protects the integrity and security of the passengers at all times.

Summary: The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is seeking an experience program manager for its Native American Teacher Recruitment and Retention Grant. Individuals considered must demonstrate knowledge of higher education configurations and secondary school structures. Must be organized and methodical, as the program manager will be working with university administrations and deans; outside collaborators; tribal culture keepers, and other experts on Native learning styles. The position requires the program manager to conduct business with a sense of urgency, be aware of semester schedules, and interface with education professionals. The individual selected must demonstrate an ability to be creative and work independently on occasion, but be able to work as an integral part of a professional team, comprised of natives and non-natives, tribal and non-tribal. This initiative is rigorous and intentional. The position requires time and dedication to recruiting and retaining Native teachers in the public school districts with whom we partner, and supporting their influence on colleagues, for the ultimate benefit of the Native students, attending school in those districts.

Summary: The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is seeking a short term temporary Administrative Assistant to provide excellence in customer service through quality administrative support to the grant manager and overall department. SUMMARY: The Farm Worker will develop and manage all aspects of the Farm production fields including growing organic vegetables, fruits and herbs; identifying and selling in local markets and on-site; managing farm interns and working with volunteers; and speaking to public groups that frequent the farm for educational days. This position requires physical endurance and strength, practical knowledge of agricultural skills and farm management, and a passionate commitment to providing specific foods for improved public health. The worker has primary responsibility for the planning, coordination and implementation of all work and activities at Farm and will take directions from the Farm Manager. The farm is a laboratory in the field focused on growing foods with the strongest disease prevention properties, conducting research to support this, improving community health, teaching communities how to grow these foods and making them widely available so individuals can learn how to incorporate them into their daily lives.

Summary: Cultural Resource Monitor (CRM0) will assist the department with processing Notice Of Intent (NOI) letters and by reviewing project materials to support departmental findings and determinations that inform comment letter replies; attend archaeological field school trainings and on reservation studies, complete cultural resource training, provide on-site field monitoring of projects as required, provide daily reports to THPO relative to project assignments. During off seasons additional responsibilities may be assigned as required to support department goals and initiatives.
