The Fairhaven Recreation Center will host a Free Healthy Aging Fair on Friday, May 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To assist tribal members, the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Transportation Department will provide transportation to anyone that is interested in attending.
If you would like to arrange transportation, please contact Latoya Green at (508) 477-0208 ext. 125. Nutrition Program Director Donald Peters will also have sign-in sheet at the upcoming Tuesday and Thursday Lunch and Learns. Transportation sign-ups will be accepted through Monday, April 15.
The Free Healthy Aging Fair will include vital information for elders and those caring for elders. There will also be free lunch, refreshments and raffles throughout the day. The Southcoast Mobile Van will be on-site as well providing free blood pressure and blood sugar checks, cholesterol screenings and pneumonia vaccines.
