Summary: The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is seeking a professional Substance Use Disorder Program Manager. The individual will oversee the Peer Recovery Specialist and ensure all MWT Substance Use Disorder programs are culturally responsive to the needs of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal community. The Program Manager will oversee the planning, development and implementation of all related grants, program projects and activities while establishing and maintaining working relationships with Tribal members, community partners and other relevant agencies. The Program Manager will review project data collected by the Peer Recovery Specialist, participate in required conference calls/meetings and will provide written reports to ensure all program data is submitted accurately and in a timely manner. The Program Manager will maintain the highest standard of professionalism and will follow organizational protocols ensuring compliance with standards. The Project Manager will seek technical assistance and training as needed through the American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) ATTC to strengthen program objectives.

Emergency Management Director

Summary: The Emergency Management Director (EMD) has responsibilities to plan and direct disaster and emergency response or crisis management activities, provide disaster preparedness training, and prepare emergency plans and procedures for natural (e.g., hurricanes, floods, earthquakes), wartime, technological, man-made (e.g., nuclear power plant emergencies or hazardous materials spills) biological (e.g., public health pandemics) disasters, or hostage situations. The EMD is responsible for building, implementing and maintaining an emergency management department with the guiding principles, vision and foundation of prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

Summary: This position is a contract judge position and continuity will be based on funding. This position is for an as-need basis. Serves as a Supreme Court Judge of the Mashpee Wampanoag Supreme Court. Work includes hearing and making judgments on all civil and criminal cases by applying Tribal Law, Ordinances and regulations or applicable Federal and State Laws. Ensures the impartial administration of justice and discharges duties in accordance with Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Law.

Summary: This position is a full-time position funded by the BIA. The Deputy Court Clerk is responsible for assisting in preparation, maintenance and closing of all case files. Summary: The Caseworker provides assistance to Tribal families to improve their social and economic home environment; to protect children and their families so as to maximize the family’s well-being. Responsibilities will include assessing the families safety, abuse/neglect and to be aware of any signs of danger in the family; Assess the family strengthens and their weaknesses, along with the family’s capabilities. Must have a strong desire to help others. Advises and aids individuals and tribal families requiring assistance in compliance with Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA). Caseworker must be able to provide social services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of children and their families and to maximize the family well-being and the academic functioning of children.

Summary: Cultural Resource Monitor (CRM0) will assist the department with processing Notice Of Intent (NOI) letters and by reviewing project materials to support departmental findings and determinations that inform comment letter replies; attend archaeological field school trainings and on reservation studies, complete cultural resource training, provide on-site field monitoring of projects as required, provide daily reports to THPO relative to project assignments. During off seasons additional responsibilities may be assigned as required to support department goals and initiatives.
