Poly-Groove Records proudly announces a groundbreaking initiative to bridge the gap between music industry insiders and the local community. Through a series of captivating listening parties, music enthusiasts will have the unique opportunity to experience the magic behind the creation of "THUNDERCHILD," the highly anticipated indie soul-blues album by Mwalim DaPhunkee Professor.
Scheduled for May 8th at the Karibbean Lounge (622 Main St, Hyannis), and May 9th at the Falmouth Art Center (137 Gifford St, Falmouth), these community-based events promise an intimate encounter with the soulful melodies and captivating rhythms that define "THUNDERCHILD."
"The album was a creative result of my project through the Arts Foundation's Fellowship program," explained Mwalim. "The guitar is a new instrument to me. It allowed me to explore different approaches to writing."
"THUNDERCHILD" is an album of original tunes written, performed, and produced by Mwalim, alongside drum and percussion work by The ZYG 808, and executive production by The GroovaLottos, this project exemplifies the spirit of independent music at its finest.
