Youth Cultural Resource Monitor Training Program

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, in partnership with the National Park Service (NPS) – Resource Stewardship and Science –Cultural Resources – Tribal and Cultural Affairs Program and the Delaware Tribe of Indians - Lenape Delaware - Historic Preservation in Oklahoma, is organizing a Youth Cultural Resource Monitor Training Program. The program is scheduled to take place at West Chester University in Pennsylvania from June 3 to June 18, 2023. The training program aims to educate various tribal members on cultural resource monitoring and provide them with an opportunity to work at a National Park for the summer, with potential for long-term employment. The program will cover travel, lodging, per diem, and other expenses for up to four Mashpee Wampanoag young adults to attend and participate.
