Tribal members participated in a paddle down Nemasket River for Middleborough’s 10th annual Herring Run Festival. Several canoes set out on the water and began their journey on the Nemasket. Once the group completed the paddle and arrived at Oliver Mill Park, the Native Environmental Ambassadors spoke to those in attendance at the festival. They discussed the rights of nature and the group’s initiatives to better protect the herring. The day was fun and informative for all, and participants look forward to returning next year.
