Tribal Citizens along with family and friends from the community are invited to attend the 10th Annual Native American Thanks Giving on Saturday, November 23. The annual event, which is coordinated by the Old Indian Meeting House Committee, will open at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Indian Meeting House with an opening ceremony and prayer.

The annual event is organized to bring the community together and to provide a much-needed pause from their daily routine to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for.

The celebration is open to anyone and everyone that would like to share. Tribal citizens are asked to wear their traditional regalia.

Following the ceremony there will be a Native American Thanks Giving feast at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Community and Government Center. Potluck dishes are welcomed and may be dropped off at the building prior to the opening ceremony.

In addition, the OIMH Committee and Elders will host a Coat Drive in conjunction with this year’s Thanks Giving Celebration. All attendees are welcome to contribute gently-worn coats, or any coldweather clothing item. Elders will be happy to receive the donations at the MWT C&G building during the feast.
