Nitana, Little Miss Wampanoag, is a thirteen year old who is very proud of her Wampanoag heritage. Nitana was born on July 26, 2005 in Falmouth Hospital near her hometown of Mashpee. She is the youngest of three children of Steven Perry and Tina Gomes. Her paternal grandmother is Marlene Perry and her paternal great grandmother is Lucinda (Hicks) Lashley.

Nitana attends Mashpee public schools presently and is going into the 8th grade in September, 2018. Nitana is a former gymnast and cheerleader for boys basketball. Currently she participates on the school lacrosse team.

She is a lover of music and dancing of many types escpecially her Native style Jingle.
