Land Sovereignty Walk and Rally in DC

 The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe will be staging a walk in Washington DC to protest a recent federal government decision that could lead to the loss of its sovereign reservation. The Mashpee Wampanoag Land Sovereignty Walk and Rally will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m. and will go from the National museum of the American Indian to the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC.  This walk is on the heels of a walk held last month that went through part of the Tribe’s ancestral homeland in Mashpee.
