Our Circle (Continued)

Last month, we sent out a Tribal Communications survey to help assess how the community feels about the current communication you are receiving, and the ways we can improve to ensure you all are getting all the important information you need. The results we’ve gotten so far have been very helpful, and we want to thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey.

97% of participants stated that they are receiving frequent communication from the tribe, which is good to see. When breaking that down, the top three most used methods of communication were the Online Mittark (70%), Print Mittark (63%), and E-blasts (59%).

When looking at areas for improvement, one request stood out – give tribal families more notice for tribal events/programs. There are times where this is difficult, for example when an event is created less than a month out, however for events that do have ample time for promotion we will make sure the information is distributed appropriately on all platforms, especially the ones you use most.

We also saw 68% of you stated that you would be either extremely likely, or very likely, to sign up for SMS (text) messaging if the tribe were to enroll in it. Given that, we are now looking into bringing SMS to the tribe as another method we will use to keep the community informed. If you would like to get on the contact list for future text messages, please send your cell phone number to publicrelations@mwtribe-nsn.gov to be enrolled.

If you would like to provide input and have not yet taken the Tribal Communications survey, please click the button below. Thank you all and as always if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to reach out.
